Dear Friends of SecurityStockWatch.com,

“For the past 20 years, we’ve processed billions of transactions without exposing consumers’ bank routing transit or personal account numbers or address information. Payment data is exchanged within a secure network, and funds are typically settled via the Fed wire. Here’s how it works: The consumer registers payments to his or her billers. Those billers are then compared against registered billers in our database prior to a financial transaction being processed. We push the credit through to the billers without exposing the consumer’s private bank account information, just his or her name and the account number with that particular biller. Now, when it comes to such tactics as phishing and pharming, the best protection is consumer education. MasterCard RPPS has long supported consumer education with a series of programs and materials that help our customer financial institutions and billers provide a coherent and effective education for their customers.” These are among the comments and observations by Mr. Michael Foye, Vice President, Sales and New Business Development, MasterCard RPPS® Systems, MasterCard Worldwide. And, Mr. Kirk MacDowell, Residential Marketing, www.gesecurity.com/smartcom, (NYSE: GE ) told us “Home Security 2.0 is one part of our new interactive initiatives that is taking home security and related functionality to exciting new levels, leveraging the power of the Web to afford homeowners a range of new capabilities. Now homeowners can go beyond traditional home alarm system offerings to, not only, remotely monitor their home's security, but also monitor a whole range of additional functions and activities. With this interactive initiative, homeowners can now leverage Web accessibility to determine when the kids get home from school, whether the dog is misbehaving, see who went into the liquor cabinet, and even address visitors at the front door as if they were home while they are at another location. This integrated solution will provide greatly enhanced peace-of-mind and enable users to stay connected to their homes, families and properties when away. This is good news for homeowners and our partners.” Please see the entire interview here: www.securitystockwatch.com/Interviews/in_Boardroom_GE.html.
