Dear Friends of SecurityStockWatch.com,

In this month’s newsletter we are proud to share with you exclusive interviews with these industry leaders:

Mr. Paul Beverly, Executive Vice-President, Corporate Marketing & President North America, Gemalto, Inc.
Mr. Mark Barry, President, GE Security (Americas)
Mr. Allan Griebenow, President & CEO, AXCESS International Inc.
Ms. Laura E. Owen, President, Chief Operating Officer and Director, ICOP Digital, Inc.

“Gemalto has grown to become a $2.35 billion (€1.68 billion) global leader in digital security. We have three business units that serve our primary markets: Telecom, Security and Secure Transactions. Our Telecom sector represents 56 percent of revenue. We provide Subscriber Identification Modules (SIMs) and universal integrated circuit cards (UICCs) for mobile phones, software applications, personalization and fulfillment services, and over-the-air (OTA) software and hosted solutions to more than 400 mobile network operators worldwide.

The Secure Transactions team handles all business activity in banking, which includes credit/debit cards and services; that is our second largest business unit at 26 percent of revenue and our clients include 300 of the world’s top-tier financial institutions.

The Security business includes converged physical and logical access control solutions for enterprises. It also includes our government identity credential business. We supply more than 30 nations with epassports and highly secure personal national or healthcare identity cards. Security is 13 percent of revenue and is our fastest growing sector.“

These are among the insights discussed by Mr. Paul Beverly, Executive Vice-President, Corporate Marketing & President North America, Gemalto, Inc.

Mr. GEMark Barry, President, GE Security (Americas), told us, “We do have a broad portfolio of offerings. In the past year we've been working hard on making products interoperable so that we can deliver total solutions to our customers. You mentioned the broad categories, we tend to think of products in a matrix that includes four columns (Intrusion, Fire, Access, and Video) and three rows (high end, mid tier, and mass market). One of our goals is to have industry leading product solutions in each of the categories.”

And, Mr. Allan Griebenow, President & CEO, AXCESS International Inc., told us, “Traditional personnel badges require a slow, cumbersome manual presentation at the entrance to get into a facility, and then they are useless inside. Long range, wireless credentials automatically open doors when approached, and of course only if authorized.  Beyond the doorway, they bring real-time visibility into the human activity going on throughout a facility. That visibility increases productivity, security, and safety and provides real-time business intelligence data you simply cannot capture any other way. Our Dot wireless credentials are unique. They open up a whole new world of applications inside the business and for about the same cost as traditional card access systems. The badges look the same as traditional ones, and they are compatible with existing systems.  We offer the best of both worlds. So today, we are bringing personnel badges into the 21st century by making them truly wireless, thereby enabling what are called “Advanced Workforce Management” applications throughout the enterprise.“

ICOPAnd, Ms. Laura E. Owen, President, Chief Operating Officer and Director, ICOP Digital, Inc., told us, “It is a very exciting time for ICOP. Last month, we entered into a five-year agreement to enable Raytheon to market ICOP’s industry-leading mobile video solutions to its public safety, transportation and military customers in the US and around the world. Our partnership with Raytheon positions us, together, as the largest provider of mobile video systems.
