Dear Friends of SecurityStockWatch.com,

“Sybase’s vision of the Unwired Enterprise is focused on managing and mobilizing data from the data center to the point of action. The company has more than 20 years of experience in information management, which is complemented by Sybase iAnywhere’s leadership and focus on information mobility. Together, these technologies deliver on the promise of the Unwired Enterprise to help organizations attain maximum value from their data. On the mobillity side, the company holds worldwide market leadership positions in mobile and embedded databases, management and security, middleware and synchronization, as well as Bluetooth and infrared protocol technologies”. These are among the insights discussed by Ms. Shirley Macbeth
Senior Marketing Director, Sybase iAnywhere. The entire interview is available here: www.securitystockwatch.com/Interviews/in_Boardroom_SY.html. For more information about Sybase iAnywhere: click here.

And, Peter Murdoch, President of Sentry Technology, told us, “Sentry Technology Corporation, via its acquisition of Knogo North America Inc., Video Sentry Corporation and ID Systems has a long history in the security industry dating from 1966. Sentry designs, manufactures, markets and services a complete line of CCTV products, Library patron self-service and RFID solutions as well as anti-shoplifting tagging systems. The CCTV product line includes SentryVision® SmartTrack™, a patented traveling CCTV system and SentryVision® Server for local, mobile and remote, control of video images over the internet. Recently we have introduced application software that has increased the market opportunity for our SentryVision® SmartTrack™ traveling CCTV system. Gary Vassalotti, President of VIMCOR, recently prepared for Investrend Research the "Homeland Security Sector Report" for First Quarter 2007. Click here for your free copy of the 55 page Homeland Security Sector Report for First Quarter 2007.

We asked Gary about his perspective on the market drivers for the security industry at this time.
“The major driver in the past, and the foreseeable future is security in the travel industry. That is, not only security for passengers on the airlines and the aircraft themselves, but security in individual travel in that who is permitted access to the country. During the past year we have seen the problems that have arisen with passports. They are trying to make the passports more secure and less prone to counterfeiting by implanting an RFID chip into the document. Companies that provide technology to secure ports, documents, cargo, and transport systems should continue to see a strong market for their products.” Please see the entire interview here: www.securitystockwatch.com/Interviews/Investment_Trends_VIMCOR.html.

Any comprehensive approach to business continuity and resiliency is going to include both proactive and reactive components. If clients plan well, they can deliver day-to-day value to the organization in terms of improved efficiency, higher service levels, increased satisfaction, more effective operations, more effective risk mitigation programs and greater alignment with regulations. Based on this, our offerings are designed to match three main areas of concern – business driven, data driven and event driven concerns.” These are among the comments and observations by Mr. Philippe Jarre, Vice President IBM Business Continuity and Resiliency Services (NYSE: IBM). The complete interview is available here: www.securitystockwatch.com/Interviews/in_Boardroom_IBM2.html.

And, Mr. Barry Nadell, Senior Vice President, Background Screening Division, Kroll (NYSE: MMC), told us, “In general, employers continue to be concerned about internal fraud, violence in the workplace, theft, and risks to their reputation or brand image. Background screening job applicants is one of the very best methods of mitigating hiring risks, and the screening industry is growing as more employers recognize this.” The entire interview is at: www.securitystockwatch.com/Interviews/in_Boardroom_MMC.html.

Mr. Tom Verzuh, President, SCW Consulting, www.scwconsulting.com, told us, “We are searching for a national sales manager for a CCTV manufacturer that grew it's business over 100% last year and recently new IP video products. The position reports to the President of the company. We are looking for someone based in the Midwest.

One of the searches we are currently conducting is for well-recognized national systems integration firm seeking to add a Director of Marketing to their executive team. As this organization has experienced dramatic growth over the past few years, this is a critical role which will lead the company’s efforts to communicate a consistent approach to their broad customer base. This strategic position reports to the President, and is based in the West. Unlike most traditional marketing roles, this individual will also lead nationwide sales team development, sales training programs, and National Accounts for the company.
