Dear
Friends of SecurityStockWatch.com,
The SecurityStockWatch 100 Index was up sharply in May rising 2.7% from
230 to 237. However it repeated the April pattern of being up nicely
but trailing the majors. The majors were paced by the Dow leaping from
13,063
to 13,628 (157 to 163 on a comparable index basis) for an impressive
4.3% gain. The other two performed about the same being slightly behind
the Dow’s sharp gain. The S&P 500 moved up 3.3% from 1,482
to 1,531 (168 to 174 on a comparable index basis), and the NASDAQ posted
a 3.1% gain from 2,525 to 2,605 (189 to 195 on a comparable index basis).
Gainers won the
month by a wide 69 to 30 margin, with one even. Evidence of a strong
month was that twenty-four stocks were up by more than 10%. Further
evidence; seven posted better than 20% gains. The final indication
of the strong month was only four stocks dropping by more than 10%.
Significantly,
even though the overall market declined the first week of June –
these gains for security stocks held up.
The winners in
May with more than 20% gains were:
Wireless Facilities Inc. (WFII)
up 46% to $1.64
T R C COS INC (TRR)
up 37% to $13.24
Calgon Carbon Corp. (CCC)
up 28% to $10.13

up 25% to $40.46

| Mr.
Tom Verzuh, President, SCW Consulting, www.scwconsulting.com,
told us, “We are searching for a national sales manager for
a CCTV manufacturer that grew it's business over 100% last year
and recently new IP video products. The position reports to the
President of the company. We are looking for someone based in the
Midwest.
One of the searches we are currently conducting is for well-recognized
national systems integration firm seeking to add a Director of Marketing
to their executive team. As this organization has experienced dramatic
growth over the past few years, this is a critical role which will
lead the company’s efforts to communicate a consistent approach
to their broad customer base. This strategic position reports to
the President, and is based in the West. Unlike most traditional
marketing roles, this individual will also lead nationwide sales
team development, sales training programs, and National Accounts
for the company.
